Covid-19 Update

17th March 2020

We are trying as hard as we can to balance ‘service as normal’ whilst also being responsible and taking into account the latest advice from Public Health England.

Most importantly, we have a duty of care to our patients as well as to ourselves as healthcare providers and other people who will come into contact with each other in our particular healthcare setting.

The following advice includes information provided by Public Health England on 16 March, 2020 and includes previously published and still current recommendations.

Please be advised that you should not attend treatment if you have any of the following symptoms, have recently returned from abroad where there is known infection, have been in direct contact with someone who has the following symptoms or has actually been confirmed as having recently had the coronavirus (COVID-19):

A new continuous cough

OR

A fever or high temperature (of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher)

The guidance currently is that you to stay at home (self-isolate), regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed cases for a period of 14 days from the time where you were first aware of the symptoms.

Public Health England government guidance can be found here.
